Love Is In Style: Wear to: Work Christmas Party

It's that time of year: Christmas parties errwhere. I find it soo hard choosing what to wear to work Christmas parties.. especially if you work in a business casual or business formal environment (as opposed to a job where you can wear your normal street style). I know there is a huge range of work Christmas parties, I've seen pictures of friends on Facebook wearing formal gowns (furthest possible attire from my company Xmas party!), or friends who dress in super chic/trendy outfits- also far from what is appropriate for my Xmas party! This year, I'm going to go for a Mad Men holiday florals look...and I'm definitely going to wear it to both mine and Diego's work parties so I'll need to make sure I'm only seen in pictures at one or the other! 🙃

Here's my rules for successful work Xmas party attire:

- Follow the dress code! Some big corps may host formal parties, make sure you wear a gown or a super chic jumpsuit.

- No dress code? Keep it similar to what you might wear in your work environment, but with a twist. Do you normally wear business casual? Wear a sweater dress with booties, or dark jeans with a pretty sweater. Business formal? Wear a below the knee dress with heels! Do not, I repeat, DO NOT wear a Christmas themed sweater unless the words "ugly" and "sweater" are on the invite!!!
